In the city of Victoria election, there are 11 candidates; one of whom will join the Victoria city councillors.
People in the community have priorities: public safety, inclusivity, property taxes, downtown parking, transportation, amalgamation, support for the arts are among those topics. With the move by our new Federal MP, Laurel Collins, Victoria is faced with an opportunity: a by-election for the vacant council position.
Victoria is one of the most spectacular cities on earth. Living here is a source of pride and I love this city that I call home.
This by-election on December 12, is all about one thing; endorsing the status quo or encouraging change. I want to bring balance back to Victoria Council and focus on issues that matter. I want to move away from wasting city resources on issues outside our jurisdiction and work on things that benefit us all; public safety, affordable housing, taxation policy and more.
My name is Stephen Andrew and I would be honoured to have your vote to move Victoria forward. We do not need more of the same. You voted for me before, please vote for me again and bring some balance back to Victoria Council.
